Lucky 13 Lacquer Pumpkin King

Holiday-theme polishes. We all have them, right? I feel like all polish brands, mainstream and indie alike, do collections for every holiday. And how can you not love the festiveness?! But alas, what do you do with said polishes when the holidays are over? Must you wait a whole year to paint your nails with festive pretties?! The answer is NO! We CAN incorporate holiday-themed polishes into everyday, non-holiday manicures!

And today, I have Lucky 13 Lacquer Pumpkin King to do just that with. Pumpkin King? But... it's May! PUMPKINS? Damn right, we're doing pumpkins.

Pumpkin King is part of Lucky 13 Lacquer's Nightmare collection, inspired by the Nightmare Before Christmas, of course! These polishes are limited edition and are only available for purchase from September 1st through December 31st, but I was lucky enough to snag the whole collection when Kyoti, the maker of these amazing polishes, was having a moving sale!

Pumpkin King is a mixture of matte black hex glitter with orange hex and bar glitter in a clear suspension base. It totally screams the Nightmare theme - I love it! It's also the only polish from the collection that I hadn't worn yet, so it needed to make its debut on my nails. And how do we present Halloween polishes in a non-Halloween way?

We layer it over China Glaze Kinetic Candy, that's how!

This polish is a total breeze to apply. This is just one coat on each nail.

I love Lucky 13 Lacquer polishes so much and I would totally recommend them to anyone! The Nightmare collection isn't available right now, but she has plenty of other amazing collections including her latest Nautical Nonsense collection emanating the great and powerful Spongebob Squarepants. Seriously, check out Kyoti's polishes over at her website right now - you will not be disappointed!
