Nerd Lacquer Entirely Unlike Tea

Hello readers! :) Before I get into today's post, I have just a bit of housekeeping to share with you all. I spent some time sprucing up the blog a little bit last night to make it easier on the eyes, so we have a new banner and WAY less pictures crowding each page! I also figured out how to add more widgets, so if you look to your right, you might notice the new bloglovin' widget, the Facebook widget, AND the Instagram widget - oh yes, we're getting very high tech up in here.

ANYWAYS, I would LOVE for my readers to please follow Late Night Lacquer on bloglovin' since Google reader is going away at some point. In addition, like us on Facebook too and follow us on Instagram, @latenightlacquer! I'm trying to do better with social media for promoting this blog so please like and follow - the more, the merrier! I want to keep up with the awesome readers who peruse this blog. :)

Sorry that I haven't posted in a good week, readers! I have been busy juggling my new job plus my last couple of weeks at my other job. Not to mention that as a last laugh from my previous employer, the cash register decided that severing my three longest nails on my swatch hand would be the rightful goodbye gift. SIGH! So I am overdosing myself on Biotin and Nail Envy so these little nails will grow back to full capacity!

Give me just a couple more days here (my old job ends tomorrow!) and "indie"-an summer will be back in action! I just splurged on a ridiculous amount of indie polish so I'll have lots to swatch and share! :)

Lucky 13 Lacquer A 51st Century Guy

Hello lovelies! I've been in such better spirits lately - I put my two weeks' notice in for my job (June 11th is my last day, yay!), I have found a new job (double yay!), AND I finally found my digital camera (triple YAY)!

So, anyone who knows me knows that I love my dogs.

But for real, my pups are my babies. I have two - a sweet Pomeranian boy named Moose and a fiesty Shiba Inu girl named Layla. They are like my kids and I love them to bits!

So when I found out that Emerald & Ash was releasing two polishes in honor of her own puppies, I knew I HAD to snatch them up! I mean, come on - inspiration from doggies? We CAN incorporate holiday-themed polishes into everyday, non-holiday manicures!

And today, I have Lucky 13 Lacquer Pumpkin King to do just that with. Pumpkin King? But... it's May! PUMPKINS? Damn right, we're doing pumpkins.

Readers, I have a confession to make. Today's polish is not an indie. I know, I know - "indie"-an summer! All indies all the time! Yeah yeah yeah... BUT, I have had a rough few days and I feel very on the verge of quitting my job, so sometimes you have to put the glitter aside and bring out some rainbows. And rainbows are exactly what we are getting into today! This is Jade Holographic Vermelho Surreal, a brand from Brazil. And although it isn't an indie, I did buy it from Llarowe... so that must count for something, right?

Nail Pattern Boldness Boop-Oop-a-Dupe

I think it's safe to say that most nail polish lovers know about the elusive Clarins 230 polish, aka "Unicorn Pee." It's pretty much one of the most ridiculously awesome polishes in the world. It's also ridiculously expensive and very hard to find. You probably also know about one of the famed dupes for Clarins 230 - Max Factor Fantasy Fire! Equally gorgeous and also rather difficult to find, especially if you're in the United States!

But there is hope, my friends. Even more dupes are out there. Accessible dupes. Indie dupes. And so I present to you: Nail Pattern Boldness Boop-Oop-a-Dupe.

Hello! I am slightly obsessed with fruit-themed nail polish, so what the hell was expected of me when Sonnetarium released the fruitiest collection of polishes ever for their Spring 2013 line? I was picking up Cucumber Salad from the same collection for a good friend of mine's birthday when I caved and had to grab a mini of Sonnetarium Strawberry Smoothie.

"INDIE"-AN SUMMER BEGINS!

Hello, little corner of the nail polish blog world! I have disappeared for quite some time... school and work all caught up with me too quickly, so I have clearly not been so active.

But school has ended! Summer is upon us! Somehow, I've become a senior in college... sooo that's a little scary. BUT ALAS! I am back for now, at least until my final year of undergraduateness commences.

I've cleared out all the clutter of my past blog posts to make room for the new Late Night Lacquer. And if I'm only going to be around for the summer, I'm going to do it right... "INDIE"-AN SUMMER!

Okay, I know that an INDIAN summer wouldn't happen until it is nearly fall... but come on now. WE NEEDED A GOOD PLAY ON WORDS HERE. INDIE-AN. That's right. All indies, all the time, folks!

I'll have another post for my first featured polish so you aren't forced into reading a wall of text. HERE GOES!
